It's funny about this picture, I'd have thought it was all the rope a hangman would ever need to fashion a noose on which the entire society, with its unlimited self-worship, could be strung up.

But no, there are, it seems, actually "principled" people out there who think this disaster is just a little technical glitch, and that once the proper mechanics are applied, everything will be fixed up and the whole shebang will keep on rolling as before.

Toward... I forget that part of the argument.

Jane and Jim - Oh my goodness such a toicuhng story. Mr. B sounds very sweet and old. I'm sure you'll have many more visits from him but I'm glad you're taking it in stride and allowing him to visit and not be a 'pain'. I have a soft spot for old people.
