near ever dry. Few tap transfer
second charge you let off stop surrender for
disarm, oh grant that, leave the grain why ever
less now less green took life by the tongue lit
In low pale extradite. …
My assertion about the recession is in part built on the ‘ridges debased’ in the third line as a subsidiary definition of ridge is “Gold; a gold coin. Also: any metal coin”. I'm taking this to refer to currencies rather than coinage. This sense carries a phonological reinforcement in the long ‘o’s connecting ‘enclosing’ and ‘echo’, and ‘Hateful’ and ‘chamber’. So we ended up talking about how dark the window was growing with a storm that was trying to happen, and then my brother told me “That's not a real storm. Tomorrow is going to be the REAL storm.” He started telling me something called Gyorgos (sp?) is going to hit our area … I feel like going up on the roof with a staplegun … Isn’t Gyorrrrrrgos one of the monsters who fought Godzilla? After this, landings were made on the planet’s moon. Observatories were built, and their evidence suggests that Sykaos might be inhabited by deliberating creatures. Unusual markings were detected, around which vapours clung, which led some to deduce the existence of orbs or warrens of gregarious creatures. It was therefore determined that, in advance of the first expeditionary force, in vehicles large enough to carry a full complement of settlers, discards, butlers and supplies, some closer observation of the planet should be made; that confluence should first be made with its native creatures, and – in the event that rational intercourse should prove possible – advice be given how they might best prepare for our arrival and select the most suitable sights for our plantation. At 20 Rockefeller Plaza, I’m establishing the world’s first quantum bank. The Quantum Bank will have 7 billion accounts — enough to serve the world population — and 7 billion quantum dollars will be generated for each dollar deposited. Cash is deposited by a quantum event: the action of an alpha particle emitted by a uranium glass sphere. The sphere is surrounded by a microscopic grid of 7 billion boxes. The coordinates of each box correspond to one of the 7 billion accounts. The box that the alpha particle exits determines which account gets the cash. If you were to measure the system, you’d find that the particle would pass through just one box, putting the dollar in just one account, providing the bank with just one dollar in total assets. However, the quantum banking apparatus is metallically shielded so that no external measurements can be made. As in the case of Schrödinger’s cat, quantum uncertainty will prevail. I am, though, standing in front of the mirror. And I’m holding a bowling ball. And I smash my face with it … And I am you … And I haven’t written a sonnet in a thousand years … Pigs are buried, dancing, in every second … Blood lashed on the hardwood. And, so, let us go then, you and I, and make a Star Wars movie with bits of Shakespeare’s hair. And it’s all be ok, I swear. Twos and Threes raining down all around us like fame / plague / yr heart / my heart / … Or maybe you’d rather be that hopeful moment at the end of Kafka’s “Metamorphosis” … Which begins — There is no language but “reconstructed” imaged parentheses back into person “emphasizing constant” explanation “the current to run both ways.” The ocean he sees when as “sour frowns of the ancients’ ‘signifier’” that person jumps in. We are at liberty “to take ‘the’ out of ‘us’,” to have selves “not here” in the machinery of dramatic monologue to “smash, interrupt.” — and ends — Disregarding if “citizens worth not one cent” listening can’t speak for us “circuits not all there” themselves, he “whatever may be ‘wanted’” loves to talk. “Let me in” pushed between “to have intelligibility” hopeless repetition “which takes you away.” But for an anecdote, how about this: the first thing I did when I got to the East Coast was to go straight to the church, where Lee Crabtree offered me a swig of the crême de menthe he was drinking while playing piano with the Fugs, and I’m sure that changed my life.
