Flash forward 90 years. It takes Pussy Riot four hours to get back to the prison, and four hours to get to the court again. A woman who looks after the candles in the church testifies and becomes an immediate star on Twitter. She says she saw the girls’ “devilish twitching” and “committing impudences”. And the dogs? There’s a new one in the courtroom every day, a huge German shepherd, a Rottweiler, and an even bigger Rottweiler. We’re wondering what beast they’ll have on Monday. They might as well bring in a horse – nobody would be surprised. I have forgotten what happened on Monday. It was raining, it used to rain, it rained. The sky is very pretty today. Show it to me, please. The hats for the Orthodox Jewish market are not listed in any catalog or Web site. The three popular models make distinctive fashion statements summed up by their names: Bent Up, Snap Brim and the Clergy, which lacks a crease in the crown and is bound around the brim. I’ve always loved this painting. The two straw chairs, the lush red blanket poking over the edge of the bed, the bright yellow window panes framed in green, the planks of the bare wooden floor partitioned by various lines of green, the little table with the blue pitcher and bowl, a towel hanging from a peg on the wall. The various shades of blue on the walls, the bright yellow pillows and sheet and solid wooden bed, soft as mousse yet secure as a mountain. On earlier occasions, I was convinced that dreaming that you know that you are dreaming would suffice for knowing that you are dreaming. Many things are of interest here. One is that women weightlifters don't “look like blokes”; they look like weightlifters. Here’s where Spinoza comes in. I mean, how about YOU spend your whole life being intensely awful at having a body and then you suddenly discover starvation-highs and your ribcage and then have all the weirdest sexual experiences of your life and have to figure out how to deal with freakishly multiple desire that is just refracted all over the place, how about you do all of that in the span of like, two weeks, and then at the end of those bizarre and totally intoxicating two weeks you get your heart absolutely and abruptly STOMPED ON, and then get back to me about how long it takes you to get over it. Okay? Here’s the pitch-black nights, in their simplicity, but with everything that every human being empty nullity, an endless wealth of representations and images – but none of them can not of its own that ultimately, whether Or, available to him. This night – right here in nature, phantasmagoric representations existing in the inner-face, the pure ego – beyond his own around the pitch-black nights; in a bloody head falls somewhere, somewhere somewhere else, such as a white silhouette of a dead [what?] suddenly becomes that flow to the bottom of the head and falling again in a moment suddenly disappears. The only way you can see it tonight, people in the eye, the darkness turned into a terrible and horrible to look at this black night, not immediately.
